BURKBURNETT, TX (RNN Texoma) - Burkburnett city crews cleaned up the mess left behind Thursday’s storms on Friday.
Wind up to 60 mph knocked down trees, a baseball field fence, ripped off a roof of a construction business and even damaged power lines. That caused many residents to lose power.
The city crews used axes and chainsaws to remove branches on damaged trees in city parks.
The down burst tore off the roof of Big Dawgz Construction, off I-44.
The city was not hit with strong winds on Friday but did receive up to four inches of rain.
