WICHITA FALLS, TX (RNN Texoma) - Wichita Falls Downtown Development is reviving Zombie Crawl after the event was killed off two years ago.
A lot of people say they have been dying for it to return to downtown Wichita Falls.
“I love zombies, I'm a zombie nerd, walking dead that's my stuff,” said Joseph Robison.
Robison is a special effects makeup artist and said it is a big day for his business.
Saturday he is turning about 20 people into something you see only in your nightmares.
He is not the only one who has been waiting for this event to come back.
“Once we got rid of the event a couple of years ago people started messaging our page, calling the office to say hey why'd you gets get rid of this, we want it back, bring back Zombie Crawl,” said Cody Magana, Chairman of Wichita Falls Downtown Development.
Magana said it is a good feeling to give the people something they have been asking for.
“It’s also a cool way for us to give back to the community that’s supporting downtown so much all year long,” said Magana.
Bringing some more life back to the growing district.
“It's what helps makes us a better town and helps rebuild downtown,” sad Tracy Rios. “So, that's where we're going to be is downtown, it makes downtown look a lot better.”
A lot scarier too. Something Rios appreciates.
“Everyone’s unique in their own different way, makeup, costumes, everyone has their own look and how they want to be,” Rios said.
Thousands are expected to attend Zombie Crawl. There will be music, a costume contest and more! It is free to get in!
