WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - After six years, the Midwestern State football team is in need of a new offensive coordinator.
Today, Mustangs offensive coordinator Adam Austin announced he will be the next OC at Eastern Kentucky after eight years with the program, six as the offensive coordinator.
During Austin’s tenure at MSU Texas, the Mustangs had a top-3 offense in the Lone Star conference four times were a top-15 offense in the country three times.
Also during Austin’s time as OC, 19 Mustangs were named on the first-team offense of the Lone Star Conference, including Layton Rabb as offensive player of the year this past year.
“We’d like to welcome Adam and Aubri to the EKU football family,” Eastern Kentucky head coach Mark Elder said in an EKU release. “We’re very excited to have them join us. Adam has been a very successful play caller for a championship level program at Midwestern State. He’s had a very balanced attack, utilizing his personnel to the best of his ability. He’s done a tremendous job of developing multiple quarterbacks and builds great relationships with his players. We’re very excited about the impact that he will have upon the football program here at EKU.”
