WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) -
Walk with a Doc was held on Saturday , it’s a worldwide event that inspires communities through movement and conversation.
People that came out were able to walk at their own pace while having the opportunity to have questions answered by a physician. Even in less that favorable temperatures walkers came out and walked for about 40 minutes. The event organizer Kimberli Taylor of the Wichita County Medical Social says once it warms up outside this is going to be a great event. The Guest speaker was Dr. Allen Brajer, Internal Medicine at URPG who answered a couple questions ahead of the walk.
“Walk at the speed that your still able to carry out a conversation and how much should you walk they are saying 140 minutes a week that 30-40 minutes sessions four- five days a week.”Dr. Brajer said.
The next walk with a Doc event will be February 9th 2019 and the events organizer Kimberli Taylor says she expects next months turn out to be even greater with warmer weather.
