WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - It’s mostly good news in this week’s forecast. After a cloudy weekend, finally the clouds are breaking. Temperatures will warm to the 60s for the second half of the week. There’s also a chance we could make it to 70 degrees for the first time in many weeks. This afternoon’s forecast includes partly to mostly sunny skies, light winds and highs in the mid 40s. Temperatures will warm daily through Wednesday when highs will be in the low 60s, nearly 20 degrees above average for this time of the year.
This week’s big weather headline is a powerful cold front arriving late Friday. Ahead of the front, south winds and sunshine will help drive temperatures to near 70 Friday afternoon. Winds will become strong out of the north as the front passes delivering a cold Saturday with temperatures in the 30s and wind chills in the 20s. Some wintry precipitation is possible Saturday morning.
