MSU Documentary Takes 1st Place at Big Contest

WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - “Cenosillicaphobia,” it means the fear of an empty glass. It was also the title of documentary that won top honors.

It was produced by students in the Midwestern State University Mass Communication Department, and was recently named best documentary in the South Central Broadcasting Society competition.

SCBS includes 35 schools in a six-state region. The Mass Communication Department Chair, Dr. Jim Sernoe, noted that schools of all sizes are included in the competition.

So he was proud of his students for winning, and said it was gratifying to know they can hold their own with anyone in the country.

The program was produced by MSU students Ruby Contreras, Kristen Gregg, Eddie Naidicz, and Olivia Zamora.
