Guru Dan Inosanto seminar at Warrior Way in Wichita Falls

WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) -Wichita Falls Martial arts academy Warrior Way welcomed a legend Guru Dan Inosanto this weekend to host a Seminar.

The 82-year-old living legend captivated a gym filled with all ages today. Owner/ Chief Instructor Harley Elmore says he is happy to be able to provide this training to kids who wouldn’t normally be able to attend an event like this.

“This is one of the few seminars in the country that kids can actually attend to train with him. Usually, this is for instructors and adults,” said Elmore.

Dan Inosanto was Bruce Lees protegee. He’s been in a number of movies, written several books, holds seminars all over the world. Elmore says both he and Inosanto hope attendee leave feeling inspired to continue learning.

“One of the main messages that Inosanto is trying to promote is that no matter who you are or who you are talking to, whether your more knowledgeable or not it does not really matter. If we are open enough to every art, every culture, everybody has something we can learn from, and I think that is his number one message,” Said Elmore.

The gym host this event every year in addition to many other programs that cater to kids. Elmore says kids can really benefit from learning martial arts.

“Goal-setting and achieving goals, overcoming difficulty, sacrificing and working hard to achieve those goals are all something that is built into a program like what we have here,” Said Elmore.
