WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - Wind has returned to the forecast. Gusty south winds will help drive temperatures well into the 60s despite an increase in clouds this afternoon. South winds remain steady overnight tonight, preventing temperatures from dropping much. We get west winds Thursday helping to deliver not only the warmest day of the week, but also the warmest day of the year so far. Highs will be near 80 degrees.
A cold front will wander into the Red River valley Friday bringing north winds and cooler temperatures, though not a cool as previously thought. Highs will be near 60 Friday and Saturday. The headlines at the far end of the seven day forecast include cold temperatures and a chance of wintry precipitation Monday into Tuesday.
