Rain, Sleet & Snow Will Fall Tuesday Afternoon Across Texoma
Your First Alert Weather Team is here watching out for you!

WICHITA FALLS, TX (TNN) - A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through tonight across most of the Newschannel 6 viewing area. We’ll see mainly rain in north Texas with brief periods of freezing rain and perhaps sleet and we’ll see mainly wet roads. There might be a greater impact to travel in Oklahoma, especially north toward Oklahoma city, where snow will fall and temperatures may be below freezing for several hours. If ice is going to be a problem in north Texas, it would be accumulations on trees and power lines, leading to brief power outages.

Precipitation, no matter the type, is expected to fall through early evening. Travelers should drive with caution overnight with temperatures dropping below freezing while roads might still be wet. West winds will trigger an appreciable warm up Wednesday. Our next chance of rain comes Friday into Saturday.
