Murder On Scott Street

A man has been arrested and charged with murder, and today, he is out on bond.

Wichita Falls police say 36 year old Jason Robert Acheson shot and killed 36 year old Simon David Gonzales.

Police say he surrendered to detectives this weekend and was released on a $25,000 bond.     

The shooting happened in the 300 hundred block of North Scott Street early Saturday morning.  

That's where paramedics found Gonzales, he was transported to United Regional Hospital where  he died a short time later.

Acheson was  booked into the Wichita County Jail and has been  charged with murder.

Police are still looking for answers in the case.
