
Two lots of prescription cat food have been recalled for possible salmonella contamination.
Procter and Gamble recalled the 5 1/2 pound bags of IAMS Veterinary Formula Feline Renal Cat Food.
The spokesman for the company didn't know how many bags were involved in the recall.
Procter and Gamble is also warning pet owners they can be infected with salmonella if they do not wash their hands after handling the dry food.
