Repeat DWI Offender Gets Prison Sentence

A repeat DWI offender has been sentenced to 16 years in prison.

40-year-old John Matthew Sweatman was sentenced Tuesday in Young County.

Officials said Sweatman was arrested in November of 2008 after five 911 calls reported a possible drunk driver was headed toward Graham.

Police arrested Sweatman later that night. Sweatman's previous DWI convictions were in 1993, 1996 and 1999.
