The Wichita Falls Fire Department is kicking off a smoke alarm campaign today.
It's called "We're Out To Alarm Texas" and it's aimed at senior citizens and low income families. The fire department received 200 smoke detectors from the Insurance Council of Texas to give out on a first come first serve basis.
Fire Marshall David Collins says Wichita Falls received the detectors because of the number of fatalities Texoma has had due to fires.
