NEW INFO: Rolling Meth Lab Chased Through Wichita Falls

Posted: Updated:

Wichita County deputies were  busy with high speed chase involving a black Camaro.

Wichita County Sheriff David Duke says the driver, 32 year old Phillip Ray Smith was arrested.

Duke says a rolling meth lab was found in the vehicle and that the passenger, 27 year old Kacie Stonecipher had jumped out before the pursuit ended but was caught by deputies.

Deputies say they started watching the car Tuesday when they smelled a suspicious odor coming from the vehicle in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Professional Drive. They started surveillance and tried to pull the driver over yesterday when he went to the Wayfarer Motel and parked.

That's when he took off through Wichita Falls streets.
The chase ended when a deputy did a pit maneuver to block the car at the intersection of Turtle Creek Road and Anchor Road.

Both Smith and Stonecipher were arrested for possession of certain chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamines and felony evading with a motor vehicle.
