A 13th person has been arrested in connection to an on-going DPS meth smurfing investigation.
Jody Reeves, 25, is charged with Possession of Certain Chemicals with Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance.
Officials said beginning on September 22, 2009 to May 2010, Reeves was purchasing large quantities of pseudoephedrine tablets from several Walmart, Walgreens and CVS pharmacies in the Wichita Falls and Dallas/Fort Worth areas.
Based on spreadsheets from the investigation, Reeves bought 39 boxes of pseudoephedrine tablets for a total of over 103 grams of pseudoephederine. 20 of the 39 boxes were purchased in Wichita County. Many Wichita Falls based pharmacies contributed video surveillance recordings for this investigation.
Newschannel 6 first told you about this multi-year investigation in January, after authorities searched through pharmaceutical logs and found the suspects were buying large amounts of pseudoephedrine and using it to make and sell meth. Click here to read more about the investigation.
