The Wichita Falls area food bank's shelves have more food on them tonight and Texoma residents are ready to get dinner on their tables. The "Move for Hunger" Ford Focus Program delivered food from Alvert Moving and Storage to The Wichita Falls Food Bank. The non-profit "Move for Hunger" program was started by New Jersey resident Adam Lowy who is on his way across the country to help fight hunger.
Nearly 1 in 4 Texans under 18 yrs of age do not have access to the foods that they need to lead active healthy. This equates to roughly 1.6 million Texas children. Over 3 million people in Texas have received emergency food assistance from food banks this past year. With times getting tighter, as well as a growing financial burden on our community, these numbers are increasing. Thousands of our community's neighbors need your help.

The 47th annual Coin and Stamp Show in Wichita Falls will be Friday and Saturday at the MPEC, 5th and Burnett. Show hours are 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
