CHICAGO (AP) - Josh McCown threw for a career-high four touchdowns, and the Chicago Bears scored on their first eight possessions to grab a share of the NFC North lead with a 45-28 victory over the Dallas Cowboys last night. Dallas (7-6) fell a game behind Philadelphia in the NFC East.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) - DeMarcus Cousins had 32 points and 19 rebounds, and Derrick Williams scored a career-high 31 to pace the Sacramento Kings to a 112-97 victory over the Dallas Mavericks last night. Monta Ellis had 21 points for the Mavericks, who had won three straight, including the last two on the road. The loss also snapped a five-game win streak against the Kings.
CHICAGO (AP) - Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee left last night's game against the Chicago Bears in the third quarter with a neck injury and will not return. Lee, making his first start after missing a game with a hamstring pull, was injured trying to tackle Bears running back Michael Bush on a pitchout around left end.
HOUSTON (AP) - The Houston Cougars snapped a two-game losing streak with an 89-58 win over Alcorn State lastnight. TaShawn Thomas scored 19 points and added 9 rebounds for Houston (7-4), which had lost four of five after starting the year with a six-game winning streak. Danrad Knowles added 19 points for the Cougars, who are off until Saturday when they play at Louisiana-Lafayette.
