On February 26, 2014 Newschannel 6 will be giving One Thousand Dollar checks to Six Winners in our Newschannel 6 Fast Cash February Give-A-Way Contest during the 10PM Newscast.
How the contest works:
During each Newscast beginning January 27th 2014 and continuing through the 12PM Newscast on February 25, 2014 contestants may register for the contest by watching any valid Newschannel 6 Newscast. There will be a different Key-word for each time-frame and contestants will be able to enter on-line at www.newschannel6now.com by providing the Key-word and completing the required on-line information. Contestants may be able to access www.newschannel6now.com via a smart phone by accessing the internet, however the Newschannel 6 App will not allow direct access to the website.
Interested contestants can enter from 455A to 805A, 1155A to 135P, 455P to 735P, and 855P to 1140P Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning from 755A to 935A, Saturday 555P to 735P, Sunday 525P to 705P and Saturday and Sunday evening from 955P to 105A. Contestants will be able to register up to one-hour after each newscast. Contestants cannot register until the key-word has been announced during the newscast. Contestants providing the wrong key-word will not be included in that newscast’s registrant pool. Key-Words will not be provided over the phone.
Each Tuesday beginning February 4, 2014 following the noon registration period, six finalists will be selected at random from the pool of entered contestants. The six names will be announced during that evening’s 10PM Newscast and those six finalist’s names will be eligible for the final drawing on February 26. A total of 24 finalists will be randomly selected for the final drawing which will be held live during the 10PM news on February 26th. Participants are limited to 1 entry per time-frame per day. Contestants interested in the contest may register at the KAUZ-TV studios, 3601 Seymour Highway, Wichita Falls, Texas 76309 during regular business hours if they register within the appropriate newscast time frame, and they will not be eligible to register outside regular station business hours. Contestants must also have a valid email address.
Some newscasts may be preempted or shortened during the contest term and will not be considered valid.
Eligible contestants must reside in either Texas or Oklahoma.
KAUZ-TV’s sole responsibility during the contest will be to provide each selected winner with a $1000.00 Check.
Contestants must be 18 years old on or before February 25, 2014 to be eligible to win.
Contestants must have a valid email address.
KAUZ-TV is not responsible for taxes, maintenance, warranties or any other issue in connection with awarding the prize.
Contest Winners will receive a 1099 Form, and must fill out completely a W-9 Form when picking up the prize.
Checks will not be awarded to any person except the actual prize-winner.
Winners must provide proof of identity in order to determine eligibility and a picture ID must be provided when the prize is picked up and the winner agrees to allow KAUZ-TV to photo-copy requested materials.
Prize will be awarded in the form of a check. Once the check winners are determined checks will be prepared and will be available for pickup after 12PM on Monday March 3rd, 2014.
Prize must be picked up at the KAUZ-TV studio’s by 5PM on March 7, 2014.
Prizes can only be picked up from 12P to 5PM Monday March 3rd and from 8A to 5P Tuesday thru Friday during regular business hours at the KAUZ-TV studio, 3601 Seymour Highway Wichita Falls, Texas 73609.
Employees of KAUZ-TV and its entities and their families are not eligible to win.
No purchase is necessary, void where prohibited.
By entering the contest you release all rights for KAUZ-TV and its sponsors to use your name and likeness for promotional purposes without compensation of any kind.
All contestants must complete the online registration form and agree to the terms and conditions of the registration.
KAUZ-TV is not responsible for lost, late, forged, mass produced or mass-transmitted, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete or illegible entries and such entries are void: KAUZ-TV is not responsible for telephone, electronic hardware or software program, network, internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties, errors or failures in transmission or reception, and any condition caused by events beyond the control of KAUZ-TV which may cause the contest to be disrupted or corrupted.
KAUZ-TV, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or who may otherwise be in violation of the rules of the contest.
KAUZ-TV reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify any portion of the contest, including the entire contest as planned, in the event of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, technical failures of any sort or any other event which is out of station control.
Rules may be changed by KAUZ-TV at any time throughout the contest.
In the event that a newscast is canceled or shortened, the contest may be eliminated for that newscast.
Entrants will have only a limited time-frame in which to register after each newscast. The registration period will conclude one hour after each newscast. As an example, Noon Newscast will end at 1230PM. Entrants will have until 1:30PM to register for the contest.

Limitation of Liability: By entering this contest, each contestant forever discharges and releases KAUZ-TV, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, causes of action, suits and demands of any kind arising from or in connection with the promotion, including, without limitation, responsibility for property damage, loss of like, or personal injury resulting from or in connection with participating in the contest or from or on connection with use or receipt of the prize, however caused.
Sponsors Reservation of Rights: These official rules are subject to modification by KAUZ-TV. In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by KAUZ-TV are final and binding. KAUZ-TV reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify this contest if, for any reason, the contest is not capable of completion as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, technical corruption, force majeure, or non authorized human intervention that compromises or affects the administration, fairness, integrity, security, or proper conduct of the promotion.
