Lindsey Forst

Although Lindsey Forst was born a Texoman in Lawton, she spent most of her life growing up in Edmond, Okla. Lindsey loves waking up with Texoma on Newschannel 6 Early Morning and Newschannel 6 This Morning. She also anchors Newschannel 6 at Noon. Lindsey joined the Newschannel 6 team in May 2008.

In November 2008, a near tragedy happened in Texoma when a trench collapsed, trapping a Lawton construction worker underground for nearly 15 hours. Bringing you live updates through the night, Lindsey stayed at the scene until the man was finally uncovered and air-lifted to safety.

"This was one of the first big breaking news stories I covered. What a rush to be on the scene of such an intense situation," Lindsey said, "Our team did a great job of getting the information to the public as soon as we had it, even breaking into our prime time shows. As other stations headed home, we stayed out there until the very end."

Lindsey feels very passionate about giving back to the community that has been so welcoming to her. She currently serves on the board for Wichita Falls Big Brothers Big Sisters, is a member of Junior League of Wichita Falls and the Kappa Kappa Gamma Wichita Falls Alumnae Chapter.

Lindsey moved to Texoma shortly after graduating from Oklahoma State University in May of 2008. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and Broadcasting with a double major in Public Relations and a minor in Spanish.

While in college, Lindsey also gained experience in the broadcasting industry interning at KOTV in Tulsa and KWTV in Oklahoma City.

In the summer of 2007, she was awarded a scholarship to study abroad in Malaga, Spain. This experience opened her eyes to life over seas and when she's not working, she loves to travel! Lindsey also loves spending time with her family and friends, husband, Clay, cat, Puffin and Golden Retriever, Wrigley!

Marrying a rancher in May 2011, Lindsey has found a new love for the country and can't imagine living anywhere but Texoma!
