Temperatures have risen slightly during the overnight, which is helping to put an end to the freezing rain. But parts of Comanche and Stephens Counties are still seeing some freezing drizzle. Widespread rain showers will linger throughout the rest of the morning. However, the rain will start to taper off this afternoon. Southern Oklahoma will have the best chance of seeing more rain this afternoon. So far this has been an efficient rain event. Some of the heaviest rain has actually fallen in our water sheds. Today's highs will be near 40 degrees.
If you are headed out this morning watch out for slick spots on bridges and overpasses.
We will see more sunshine on Sunday as the clouds decrease. Highs will once again be around 40 degrees.
Temperatures will be on the rise as we get into the work week. We'll return to the 50's on Christmas Eve and stay there for Christmas. Even though we're not going to have a white Christmas, it's going to be very nice with a lot of sunshine.
