Dallas Suspected Bomber Pleads Guilty

His plot struck fear across North Texas, that a suspected terrorist was among us and ready to take violent action.

The suspect in the planned bombing of a Dallas skyscraper agreed to plead guilty.

Under a plea agreement, Hosam Smadi will be sentenced to prison for no more than 30 years.

The FBI arrested Smadi last September in a successful undercover sting operation.

FBI agents say Smadi placed what he thought was a bomb inside an SUV he parked in a 60 story-downtown Dallas office building's parking garage.

After driving away from the building agents say Smadi then attempted to use his cell phone to detonate the bomb.

It turns out it was a fake bomb.

Agents discovered Smadi in an Internet chat room.
