Rain Leads To Flooding In East Texas

The rains continue to cause problems across the lone star state.

Heavy rain and flooding closed major highways and flooded a handful of homes in some East Texas cities.

The national weather service reported 10.27 inches of rain fell over a 48-hour period in Tyler.

At least four houses flooded and one resident had to be evacuated.

One flood-related death happened in Central Texas.

The body of 65-year-old retired Wichita Falls police officer Norman Walker was recovered Wednesday from the rain-swollen Guadalupe River.
