UPDATED: One Arrested for Arson in Henrietta House Fire

One person in the custody of Clay County deputies in connection with an arson investigation in Henrietta.

Helen Bessie Barger

The fire broke out around 8 a.m. in the 500 block of Angelina.

Fire crews raced to the scene and were on edge because there were several oxygen tanks in the house.

One person was inside when the fire started. Authorities have arrested 59-year-old Helen Bessie Barger for allegedly setting fire to the residence in which she lived.

Crews had called for help from the Jolly Fire Department but were able to turn them around when they got the fire put out.

The person inside was not hurt.

Damages are estimated at up to $15,000.
