Bands Battle for Shriners

Texoma bands battled it out for a good cause Saturday. Red dirt country bands shot it out to headline Shrinefest 2010.

"We have a red dirt concert," said Shrinefest chairman Mark terry. "We hire in talent to come in and showcase that genre of music. It's one of our big functions of the year."

The music kicked off at 2 p.m. The concert was held at the New Stage Shrine Arena at Hatton and McKinney.

All proceeds from this show and Shrinefest go to benefit Shriners Hospitals.

Among the acts were Southern Junction, Mickey and the Motorcars and Houston's Cooper Wade.
