Judge To Hear Arguments On Oklahoma Abortion Law

The battle over reproductive rights takes center stage in the sooner state today.

An Oklahoma County District Judge will hear arguments on a request to block a newly passed abortion law in the sooner state.

The law requires pregnant women to have an ultrasound and then hear a detailed description of the fetus before having an abortion.

That law was temporarily blocked in may after the center for reproducing rights in New York sued to have it declared unconstitutional.

They argued the law forces women to hear information that may not be relevant to their medical care and could interfere with the physician-patient relationship.
