Roadwork Could Cause Delays to Commute

Overlay work on North Wichita Falls freeways will result in some lane closures over the next week. Crews will be repaving parts of Southbound I-44, one interchange ramp, and parts of the spur to Sheppard Air Force base beginning Tuesday, July 20, 2010.

The roads involved will remain open to traffic however some lanes will be closed as needed. The work is dependant on good weather. Additional work will be rescheduled if needed.

July 20-21, 2010 (Tuesday and Wednesday) 7am-5pm

Southbound I-44 from Old Iowa Park Road to just South of the overpass. Two lanes will be open while two lanes are being repaved.

July 22, 2010 (Thursday) 7am-5pm

The Northbound interchange ramp from Northbound I-44 to Northbound US 287 (just 1 leg of the interchange…not the whole thing) will be reduced to one lane. One lane will be closed while the other lane is being worked on.

July 26, 2010 (Monday) 7am-5pm

Same location as above except we will be working on the other lane.

July 27-28, 2010 (Tuesday and Wednesday) 8am-5pm

Eastbound Spur 325 from the US 287/I-44 interchange to the base will be reduced to one lane while crews repaved the other lane.
