Texoma Getting Help On Low Income Housing

Wichita Falls developers are seeing more than $430,000 in housing tax credits. That money is from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for a low-income housing area.

Two apartment complexes with 36-units will be built as the Green Briar Village II. That property will be for tenants who earn an average annual income of $31,000 for a family of four.

Other than residents benefiting there is also an economic stimulus with this award. The addition of construction jobs along with wages and taxes add revenue to the local tax base.
