Texoma Students Get Free Vaccines

Some Texoma students were all set to go back to school after Saturday.  At least as far as vaccines are concerned.

The Wichita County Medical Alliance, in cooperation with several Texoma school organizations and the Wichita County Public Health District, offered free vaccinations.

The annual clinic is meant to keep school kids safe and healthy for the school year.

Nationally, Texas ranks poorly in immunizations for children. The WCMA also distributed free bike helmets Saturday as a part of their Hard Hats for Little Heads program.

The event ran from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Walmart on Central Freeway.
