Flight Attendant Arrested After Altercation

A Flight Attendant involved in a fight on a Jet Blue airplane faces charges Tuesday morning.

The Flight Attendant, 39-year-old Steven Slater, argued with the passenger during the flight.

Officials said as the plane was landing at the John F.. Kennedy International Airport, Slater berated the passenger over the public-address system.

Slater then activated the emergency exit slide to flee the scene.

His neighbor witnessed his arrest at a home in Queen's New York.

"They hauled him off; they were all over the place, SWAT teams, it looked like. There were helicopters everything. Everything. It was real. Looked like an Army zone over here."

Police said none of the passengers were injured.

Slater could be charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespassing.
