Despite some grim news earlier this summer, the Wichita Falls Independent School District is looking to enter the school year with a balanced budget.
Last month, the school board worked to correct the more than $300,000 projected shortfall.
They've made the corrections and are slated to adopt the budget on Monday.
At Monday's school board meeting, members decided to set a public hearing on the school tax rate.
It's set for next Monday at 5:30 p.m. at the Education Center.
