Wildfires In Russia Raise Concerns About Radiation

Wildfires raging across western Russia are raising new concerns about radiation.

Greenpeace says the 600 wildfires could engulf the regions still affected by the radioactive fallout from the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster.

The emergency situations ministry branch said they have spotted several wildfires in the area over the past few days but have quickly put them out.

Officials say about 165,000 people and 39 aircrafts are battling the blazes nationwide.
