Project Helps Texoma Students

Thousands of Texoma students will be starting the school year off right. The 2nd annual Project Back to School event was held at Hirschi High School Saturday.

Event coordinators say 8,000 students in the Wichita Falls ISD are on free or reduced lunch plans and are considered economically disadvantaged. Saturday's event helped get those students some much-needed back to school necessities.

Free junior high sports physicals were available. As were immunizations, dictionaries and haircut coupons. Volunteers also handed out school supplies for students in all grades.
