TX State Lawmaker Under Fire, Admits To Pocketing Funds

A Texas Legislator is under fire, admitting to pocketing more than $17,000 in Taxpayer dollars.

Republican State Representative Joe Driver says he used the money for travel expenses that his campaign had already funded.

He told reporters that he sometimes pays hotels and airlines with political funds then submits the same expenses to the State.

Driver says he has consulted an ethics specialist in the House and figured he made errors in his campaign reports.

He denies ever misusing State Tax Dollars.

Driver says he will pay back any funds that he was not entitled to receive.
