City Of Wichita Falls Receiving Grant To Help Law Enforcement

Good news for the city of Wichita Falls.
Senator John Cornyn has announced the city is receiving a grant for more than $60,000 to help local law enforcement officials keep the community safe.

The grant is coming from the Department of Justice.

The city of Wichita Falls and Wichita County will use the funds to purchase new law enforcement equipment, including new mobile telecommunications devices and firearms.

"These funds will equip local law enforcement with the necessary resources to crack down on crime in the area," said Sen. Cornyn. "Having the proper tools to fight crime is critical to keeping our communities safe, and I applaud the local leaders for working to secure this funding."
