West Nile Virus In Texoma?

The West Nile Virus may be in Texoma.

The Wichita Falls-Wichita County Public Health District has received a lab report showing one case of the infection in Wichita County.

The District is still waiting on the state to confirm the case.

West Nile is transferred to humans by infected mosquitoes.

So avoid being bitten by not going outdoors between dusk and dawn, don't leave standing water around your home and apply insect repellant with Deet.

Symptoms of the disease include fever, headache and vomiting.
