Airmen Dies After Collapsing While Running

Sheppard Air Force Base has confirmed to Newschannel Six the death of an Airman who collapsed during physical training last Wednesday, August 18th. Officials say Airman 1st Class Troy Lee Edwards collapsed while running on the track at Sheppard.

Medical personnel administered first aid and the 21 year old was taken to United Regional. He passed away Friday, August 20th. 

Edwards was at Sheppard A.F.B. on temporary duty for training from Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. He was part of the 99th Logistics Readiness Squadron.
