Alaskan Election Coming Down To Absentee Votes

The results of Tuesday's Republican senate primary are going to be decided by absentee ballots. Senator Lisa Murkowski is trailing her lesser know challenger, Joe Miller by almost 1700 votes. The absentee ballots have not been counted yet. The state sent out 16,000 of them.

Of those out, half have yet to be returned. It could take up to ten days to get all of them back.
