New Identification System At Sheppard Air Force Base

Changes are coming to Sheppard Air Force Base.

Starting September 13th, all military members, retirees, dependents, government civilians and local contractors will have to be registered to get on base.

It will be done through the Defense Biometric Identification System. It's a program that registers fingerprints and photographs with military ID cards. The program is designed to enhance base security.

There are two ways to register. The Missile Road Visitors Center will be open seven days a week from 7:30am to 4:30pm and the Customer Service Center will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
