Newschannel 6 Learns Detailed Account of Buffalo Wild Wings Robbery

Newschannel 6 has obtained the affidavit that outlines the case against a man who is accused of robbing Buffalo Wild Wings.

38-year-old Darren Meadows is charged with aggravated robbery.

According to the report, at 8:20am on august 29th,  WFPD officers were dispatched to Buffalo Wild Wings at Sikes Center Mall.

Officers discovered a service entrance door of the northwest side of the business partially open. Officers checked inside the building and found two employees inside the walk-in freezer where the duress alarm had been activated.

The employees reported that a suspect robbed the store and forced them into the freezer before he took off.

They told police the suspect was armed with a dark-colored semiautomatic handgun. The employees said they were preparing the restaurant for the business day when the suspect entered, pointed a handgun at them, and demanded money from the safe. After the manager handed over the money,  the suspect forced both employees into the walk-in freezer at gunpoint. The employees stated the suspect threatened to kill them several times and they both feared for their lives.

The WFPD released these photos from surveillance video during the robbery. The suspect is seen removing his mask.

Detectives arrested Meadows in the 300 block of Martin Luther King.
