Texoma Soldier Is Laid To Rest Today

Flags are flying at half staff in honor of a fallen Texoma soldier.
U.S. Army Specialist Alexis Maldonado was laid to rest this morning.
He was killed in Afghanistan on August 21st when his unit was attacked by a small arms fire.

Wichita County Judge Woody Gossom made a formal request to Governor Perry's office to fly all state and national flags at half staff today.

Governor Perry's office approved the request saying, "Your community should be proud that it produced such a brave and honorable Texan."
