Another Gulf Oil Rig Has Exploded

Another offshore oil rig has exploded in the Gulf of Mexico. This one just west of the BP explosion that happened in April. The coast guard said all 13 crew members have been accounted for. They are safe and on a commercial vessel. Officials also said there are reports the production platform, which is for both oil and natural gas, is still on fire. Authorities said the platform is in about 2,500 feet of water and is owned by Mariner Energy of Houston. They also said it was not producing oil and gas.
