Unemployment Still High On Labor Day

In 1894 Labor Day became a federal holiday and today more Americans are in need of work.
This Labor Day officials say nearly 1 in every 10 Americans is without a job.
And those with jobs have seen an increase in their work loads as a result of other employees losing their jobs.

The Dallas Morning News reported since the recession began in December 2007 7.6 million jobs have disappeared.

And Texas has lost a 172,000 jobs as unemployment remains above 8% but below the national level of 9.6%.
