2 Arrested In Pseudoephedrine Bust

Two people are in the custody of law enforcement accused of buying pseudoephedrine to make methamphetamine.
It started back in July when the Texas Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations Division began surveillance on a 1990 Chevy pick-up.
Agents said the driver, 48-year-old Burl Layne Scott and 51-year-old Roy Keith Cypert regularly traveled to the metroplex.
They said the two collectively bought hundreds of boxes of pseudoephedrine tablets from pharmacy's across the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
Agents spotted the pair in Denton, and followed them to Wichita County. That's where they were stopped by troopers.
Both were arrested after agents found more than 2,500 tablets in a taped up box under the hood of the truck.
Scott and Cypert are both charged with Possession of Certain Chemicals With Intent to Manufacture a Controlled Substance.
