#13 MSU Mows Down Eastern New Mexico

Make it 2-0!

Saturday night, the Midwestern State Mustangs were on the road for the second straight week, but that didn't affect them at all. #13 MSU dominated Eastern New Mexico 44-17 at Greyhound Stadium in Blackwater Draw, New Mexico.

It was a big night for the Mustang offense. The scored 24 points in the first quarter. They also went over 500 yards in total offense, earning 24 first downs.

Running back Marcus Mathis led the offense with 16 carries on 94 yards and 1 touchdown. Quarterback Zach Eskridge went 15 of 28 for 139 yards and 1 touchdown.

The Mustang D also stepped up their game tonight. They forced one fumble, allowing only 85 yards on the ground.

Linebacker Ty Duncan paced the Mustangs defense with seven tackles, 1 interception, and 1 sack.

The #13 Mustangs improve to 2-0 on the season. Their next game is September 18th at Memorial Stadium against Southwestern Oklahoma State for Military Appreciation day. Kick-off is set for 7:00 PM.
