U.S. Embassy to Process Immigrant and Adoption Visas

The U.S. Embassy will begin processing some immigrant and adoption visas in Mexico City.

This comes after the U.S. Consulate in Ciudad Juarez had to close briefly in August for security threats.

Currently the Consulate is the only place that handles immigrant visas in Mexico.

Officials said starting October 1, the embassy will process F4 Visas for siblings of U.S. citizens who have filed petitions on their behalf.
