W.F. City Councilors Hold 2nd Public Hearing On Tax Hike

Wichita Falls City Councilors are considering a tax hike for property owners.

This morning councilors met in a special session to hold a public hearing about the proposed hike.

The increase would be two cents for every $100 of property value.
The city figures that would bring in about $900,000 for infrastructure improvements.

Most of those who spoke out against the increase say city councilors need to cut the budget better.
Councilors are expected to vote on the proposed rate next week.
