Also in MSU news, the Mustang football team is 2-0 and #12 in the nation after a pair of big wins out in New Mexico.

This week they're back at work, preparing for their home opener this Saturday night when they host the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma State.

Southwestern was dominated at WT this past week, losing 77-14, but Mustangs Head Coach Bill Maskill says that it doesn't matter who his team is playing, they still need to play their best.

"You know, we haven't played our best game yet," said Coach Maskill. "We're focusing on getting better at fundamentals and techniques, and even our effort. We can improve on all those things. I think it's critical that this week is [productive]--and we started off Monday and Tuesday doing that. We were on-point. So we're anxious to go out there and play another ballgame, and you know in this day and age it doesn't matter what their record is or what our record is, we've got to line up and play."

The Mustangs host SWOSU Saturday night at 7 PM at Memorial Stadium. It will be Military Appreciation Night, featuring all sorts of Military-themed activities.
