Mom Admits to Child Endangerment after Child Found in the Street
A mother whose child officers found wandering in the street has received three years probation for the crime.
Police found the little girl with a witness in the area of Grant and Avenue L in September.
A witness told officers the child lived in a home in the 2900 blk of Avenue L. Police say at the house, the mother, 34-year-old Diana Carol Davis, appeared intoxicated. She said she had been asleep and didn't realize her child left the house. She claimed three other adults in the home were supposed to watch the girl, but they denied any responsibility for the child.
A CPS case worker took custody of the little girl.
Davis plead guilty to a child endangerment charge in 78th District Court.
