Wildcats Win Again in Showcase Tournament

After their encouraging 8-1 win on Opening Day Wednesday, the Wichita Falls Wildcats were back in action Thursday in Minnesota in the NAHL Showcase Tournament, facing the Wenatchee Wild.

While they didn't quite light up the scoreboard, they played great defense and took a 2-0 win.

Eric Garavaglia stopped all 26 shots he faced for the shutout.

The penalty kill also continued to impress, killing all seven Wenatchee power plays, though 20 power plays allowed through two games still has to concern new Head Coach Mark LeRose.

Dakota Klecha had a power-play goal, his 3rd in the first two games of the year, and Chris Leone added his first of the year.

They continue Tournament play Friday and Saturday.
