Child Dies After Being Left In Daycare Van

A Dallas toddler is dead after being left in a hot daycare van.

A 3-year-old girl made the discovery when she got into the van at an elementary school.

Dallas police said two adults at the H.H. Banks Learning Center picked up 14 children, and apparently forgot to drop off the 2-year-old boy.

They said he had been in the van for at least six hours with temperatures in the 90s.

No arrests have been made, although detectives are still investigating.

The day care center has been cited by the state seven times in the past year for violating regulations related to improper staffing, background checks and first aid training.
